McAllen ISD Educators Explore AI and Digital Media at Technovate

McALLEN, Texas – About 2,500 McAllen Independent School District educators explored artificial intelligence, videography, podcasting and other classroom technology during the district’s annual Technovate conference.

The professional-development event gave teachers opportunities to test digital tools and consider how they can be used to improve lessons and student engagement. Sessions focused on practical classroom applications rather than technology for its own sake.

Educators examined ways artificial intelligence can support lesson planning and differentiated instruction while also discussing responsible use, accuracy and the need for teacher oversight. Digital-media sessions covered video production and podcasting as tools for student research, communication and creative projects.

District leaders said the conference helps employees share ideas across campuses and prepare students for a workplace increasingly shaped by digital communication and emerging technology.
