Parents of four teenagers who died by suicide are suing Meta, TikTok, Snapchat and YouTube, alleging that the platforms contributed to years of escalating mental-health harms.
The Associated Press reported the lawsuits as pressure mounts on technology companies over child safety, recommendation systems and alleged exposure to harmful content. The claims are allegations, and the companies will have opportunities to respond in court.
