EDINBURG, Texas – Edinburg officials will break ground Monday on a $7.2 million project combining a workforce resource center with a new clubhouse at Ebony Hills Golf Course.
The ceremony is scheduled for 10 a.m. Aug. 10 at 300 W. Palm Drive. The Edinburg Economic Development Corp. is investing in the project, which is funded through the city’s 2019 bond program and $2 million in sales tax revenue.
Plans call for workforce training and resource space, four golf simulators, a cart barn, new parking and replacement of the existing clubhouse. The combined facility is intended to support job preparation programs while modernizing amenities at the municipal golf course.
Construction is expected to be completed in summer 2027. City and economic development officials said the project will create a flexible community asset serving residents, employers and golfers.
