McAllen Parks and Recreation is continuing its Session 2 summer programming with camps, sports, aquatics, arts and skill-building activities for children across the city.
The department’s summer offerings use McAllen’s network of community centers, parks, pools and recreation spaces. The city oversees more than 1,047 acres of green space and more than 100 parks and recreation sites.
Programs include seasonal camps, fitness and sports activities, creative arts classes and other youth programs designed for a range of ages and interests.
More than 110 seasonal employees are supporting Parks and Recreation operations this summer. City officials said the programs are intended to give children safe and structured opportunities while supporting families during the summer months.
Families can review remaining Session 2 options through the city’s Summer Activity Guide and register while space remains available.
