Operation Border Health Preparedness is returning to the Rio Grande Valley with free medical, dental, vision and public health services for residents.
The annual preparedness exercise brings together state, local and volunteer partners to provide no-cost screenings and basic health services while also helping public health agencies practice emergency response coordination.
Services typically include medical screenings, dental care, vision checks, immunizations and referrals, depending on location and provider availability. Residents are encouraged to check official schedules for participating sites, hours and required documents.
The program is designed to improve access to preventive care in border communities while strengthening the region’s readiness for large-scale public health needs.
